Today we had a wonderful surprise when Dan called us on Skype. The twins were home washing the family cars when he called and they quickly joined the conversation. Although the connection had a slight pause we had a great time talking to Dan.
I finally asked Dan if there were any good guys over there for his twin sisters to write. He said, “No, I am afraid most of them are into drinking and partying around.”
Then Dan asked, “girls do you have boyfriends now?” Alyssa said, “No, I am too busy studying and getting through college.”
Amanda said, “Not me! I have five boy-friends!”
Dan seemed very surprised but then Amanda added, “Don´t worry Dan, its not a problem because they don’t know about each other.” Of course it was a joke and we all laughed.
Then Dan got serious and said, “Ok, I have one way of dealing with troublesome boyfriends.” He got up and walked away from the camera and came back holding a semi-automatic assault rifle. It was so funny to see our History teacher son sitting in an army uniform holding a rifle while giving his little sisters brotherly advice about dating. A moment to treasure and remember.
