Chocolate Peanut Butter Balls or Buck Eyes!
2 sticks of Butter
1 large bag of 10 X sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 cups of peanut butter ( creamy)

Mix:
Mix together well by hand and roll into small balls.
Place on foiled cookie sheets.

Melt:
Melt one large bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips in a double boiler. One small pan inside a larger pan
with several inches of hot water.
To make the chocolate more creamy add a few teaspoons of crisco shortening to make it smooth.

Dip
Dip the balls in the chocolate coating one side only. Return the dipped balls to the trays to allow the chocolate to harden.
I put the trays in the refrigerator to speed up the process.

Store in freezer or cold place in airtight container.

Christmas Muddy Buddies:

Gently toss and mix the following together in a large bowl: 

18 cups of a mixture of Corn & Rice Chex cereal

1 large bag of peanut M & M candies

1 large bag M & M candies

4 cups of mini marshmellows

5 cups of miniture pretzels

Melt the following together in a microwave proof glass dish for 60 seconds on high or until melted.

1- 12 oz bag of semisweet choclate chips

1 cup creamy peanut butter

1/2 cup butter (one stictk)

 

Stir the chocolate mixture together until smooth.

Add:

 2 tsp. vanilla extract; stir into chocolate mixture

 Pour chocolate mixture over the cereal/candy mixture.

Toss and coat cereal well with the melted chocolate.

 Add:

The cereal and candy mixture into a large 2 gallon zip-lock  bag.

 Pour remaining 3 cups of powdered sugar on top of the cereal/chocloate mixture.

Shake and mix bag until the powdered sugar is coated over all the chocolate cereal mixture.
