Another Love Soldier to be deployed! I just received a phone call from David Michael, "Dad, I am going to join Dan in Iraq." An intelligence officer contacted him this evening with the news.
As of now, it looks like David Michael will be deployed in late April or early May 2010.
David Michael and Holly will go to Ft Riley in Kansas in a month to do his training and then he will catch up with his unit already in Iraq. Please pray for our two sons as they serve our great God and country in the United States Army.
Farewell Ceremony for our son Daniel Love: Friday January 8th was the farewell ceremony for Dan and his Infantry unit before they departed out of Roanoke, VA. Dan will be in pre-deployment training for two months befor leaving for Iraq. Thank you for your prayers for them. This was one of those moments when it was difficult for us living so far away.

Weight Loss Honesty: Day 4

Weight Loss Honesty: Day 2
I have discovered that good intentions never bring results. I have had lots of good intentions over the years. Like the yearly New Year’s resolutions that ring hollow after only a few days. “I’ll do better next time,” is a frequent promise with sincere and good intentions but the next time is always just another empty and powerless commitment to my flesh that can profit nothing.
